وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَٰنًا ۚ فَأَىُّ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلْأَمْنِ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

‘And why should I fear that which you associate with God, when you fear not to associate with Allah that for which He has sent down to you no authority?’ Which, then, of the two parties has greater right to security, if indeed you know?

English - Five Volume Translation

‘And why should I fear that which you associate with God, when you fear not [b]to associate with Allah that for which He has sent down to you no authority?’ Which, then, of the two parties has greater right to security, if indeed you know?

English - Short Commentary Translation

‘And why should I fear that which you associate with Allah, when you fear not [a]to associate with Allah that for which He has sent down to you no authority?’ Which, then, of the two parties has better title to security,[867] if indeed you know?

This and the preceding two verses definitely show that the incident related in vv. 77-79 was deliberately used by Abraham by way of argument; otherwise he himself was a staunch monotheist and had drunk deep at the fount of Divine love and knowledge.

اور میں اس سے کیسے ڈروں جسے تم شریک بنا رہے ہو جبکہ تم نہیں ڈرتے کہ تم ان کو اللہ کے شریک ٹھہرا رہے ہو جن کے حق میں اس نے تم پر کوئی حجت نہیں اتاری۔ پس دونوں میں سے کونسا گروہ سلامتی کا زیادہ حقدار ہے اگر تم کچھ علم رکھتے ہو۔

Et pourquoi craindrais-je les associés que vous Lui donnez, puisque vous-mêmes vous ne craignez pas de donner à Allāh des associés ce pour quoi Il ne vous a transmis aucune autorité ? » Lequel donc des deux partis à davantage droit à la sécurité, si vous le savez vraiment ?

Und wie sollte ich das fürchten; was ihr anbetet, wenn ihr nicht fürchtet, Allah etwas zur Seite zu stellen, wozu Er euch keine Vollmacht niedersandte?" Welche der beiden Parteien hat also größeres Anrecht auf Frieden, wenn ihr es wisset?

你们不怕竖立与安拉同等的崇拜对象,它不具有安拉为其对你们下降的任何证据,我怎样能怕你们[a]所竖立的那与他同等的崇拜的东西?如果你们具备一些知识,那么,(告诉我,)在我们这两个团体中,哪一个更应当安全 (生活)?[434]

E perché dovrei temere quello che voi associate a Dio, quando voi non temete di associare ad Allah ciò per cui Egli non vi ha inviato alcuna autorità?» Quale dunque delle due parti ha più diritto alla sicurezza, se davvero lo sapete?

“Y ¿por qué he de temer a lo que asociáis a Dios, si vosotros no teméis asociar a Al-lah aquello para lo que no os ha dado Él autoridad alguna?”. ¿Cuál de las dos partes tiene mayor derecho a la seguridad, si es que en verdad lo sabéis?

اور میں اس (چیز) سے جسے تم (خدا کا) شریک بناتے ہو کس طرح ڈر سکتا ہوں جبکہ اس (چیز) کو جس کے متعلق اس نے تم پر کوئی دلیل نہیں اتاری‘ تم اللہ کا شریک بنانے سے نہیں ڈرتے سو اگر تم (کچھ) علم رکھتے ہو تو (بتاؤ کہ) ہم دونوں فریق میں سے کونسا امن (میں رہنے) کا زیادہ مستحق ہے۔

اور آخر میں تمہارے ٹھیرائے ہوئے شریکوں سے کیسے ڈروں جبکہ تم اللہ کے ساتھ ان چیزوں کو خدائی میں شریک بناتے ہوئے نہیں ڈرتے جن کے لیے اس نے تم پر کوئی سند نازل نہیں کی ہے؟ ہم دونوں فریقوں میں سے کون زیادہ بے خوفی و اطمینان کا مستحق ہے؟ بتاؤ اگر تم کچھ علم رکھتے ہو

And how should I fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allah that for which He has not sent down to you any authority? So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know?

اور تمہارے شریکوں سے کیوں ڈروں حالانکہ تم اس بات سے نہیں ڑرتے کہ الله کا شریک ٹھیراتے ہو اس چیز کو جس کی الله نے تم پر کوئی دلیل نہیں اتاری اگر تم کو کچھ سمجھ ہے تو (بتاؤ) دونوں جماعتوں میں سے امن کا زیادہ مستحق کون ہے
