English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And whatever Allah has given to His Messenger as spoils from them, you urged neither horse nor camel for that; but Allah grants power to His Messenger over whomsoever He pleases; and Allah has power over all things.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اللہ نے اُن (کے اموال میں) سے اپنے رسول کو جو بطور غنیمت عطا کیا تو اُس پر تم نے نہ گھوڑے دوڑائے اور نہ اونٹ۔ لیکن اللہ اپنے رسولوں کو جن پر چاہتا ہے مسلّط کر دیتا ہے اور اللہ ہر چیز پر جسے وہ چاہے دائمی قدرت رکھتا ہے۔

French

Et tout ce qu’Allāh a accordé d’eux comme butin à Son Messager, pour cela vous n’avez poussé ni chevaux ni chameaux, mais Allāh accorde à Son Messager le pouvoir sur qui Il veut ; et Allāh a le pouvoir de faire tout ce qu’Il veut.

Und was Allah Seinem Gesandten als Beute von ihnen gegeben hat, ihr habt weder Ross noch Kamel dazu angespornt; aber Allah gibt Seinen Gesandten Gewalt über wen Er will: und Allah vermag alle Dinge zu tun.

Y en todo lo que Al-lah ha entregado a Su Mensajero como botín suyo, no tuvisteis que emplear en ello ni caballos ni camellos; mas Al-lah concede poder a Sus Mensajeros sobre quien le place; pues Al-lah tiene poder sobre todas las cosas.

اور جو کچھ اللہ نے ان (برگشتہ [2]لوگوں) کا مال اپنے رسول کو دیا (تم کو معلوم ہی ہے کہ) تم نے اپنے گھوڑے اور اونٹ اس مال کے حصول کے لئے نہیں دوڑائے تھے۔ لیکن اللہ اپنے رسولوں کو جس کا چاہتا ہے مالک بنا دیتا ہے اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔

اور جو مال اللہ نے اُن کے قبضے سے نکال کر اپنے رسول کی طرف پلٹا دیے، وہ ایسے مال نہیں ہیں جن پر تم نے اپنے گھوڑے اور اونٹ دوڑائے ہوں، بلکہ اللہ اپنے رسولوں کو جس پر چاہتا ہے تسلط عطا فرما دیتا ہے، اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے

And what Allah restored [of property] to His Messenger from them - you did not spur for it [in an expedition] any horses or camels, but Allah gives His messengers power over whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.

اور جوکچھ الله نے اپنے رسول کو ان سے مفت دلا دیا سو تم نے اس پر گھوڑے نہیں دوڑائے اور نہ اونٹ لیکن الله اپنے رسولوں کو غالب کر دیتا ہے جس پر چاہے اور الله ہر چیز پر قادر ہے

یہ واقعہ بھی بنو نُضَیْر کا ہے جنہوں نے پہلے رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے غدّاری کی مگر جب جنگ ہوئی تو ڈر گئے اور اس شرط پر صُلح کی کہ مدینہ چھوڑ کر بھاگ جائیں گے (فتح البیان جلد۹ ص۲۶۴)

And whatever spoils of war God has given unto His Messenger from them, against that you pricked neither horse nor camel; but God gives authority to His Messengers over whomsoever He will. God is powerful over everything.

Important Words:

أفاء (given as spoils) is transitive verb from فاء which means, he returned, particularly he returned to a good state or condition. أفاته means, I made it to return. فییء means, afternoon shade; spoil or booty, so called because it returns from one party without difficulty; such of the possessions of disbelievers as accrue to Muslims without war or such as are obtained from them after laying down of arms. Loosely, the three words نفل and غنیمة and فییء are used synonymously. But whereas according to some غنیمة signifies, what is obtained from disbelievers by force during war, فییء signifies, what is obtained from them after laying down of arms or what God has given to Muslims of the goods of disbelievers such as poll-tax and that for which peace has been made with them or which they acquire without difficulty. According to some authorities غنیمة is more general in signification than نفل, and فییء is more so than غنیمة. According to the lawyers everything that may be lawfully taken of the property and goods of disbelievers is فییء. Thus غنیمة is that which is acquired with or without difficulty or labour, before or after the victory and نفل is that which is had before the division of غنیمة or which is acquired without fighting, and it differs from فییء in this respect that whereas فییء is applied to the spoil from the disbelievers after they have made preparation for war against Muslims, this condition does not apply to نفل (Lane & Aqrab).

رکاب (camels) is derived from رکب. They say رکب الدابة او علی الدابة i.e. he rode upon the beast. رکاب means camels used for riding. It has no proper singular; the word used for singular is راحلة. رکاب السحاب means, the winds (Lane & Aqrab).
