Commentary:
یظھر (reveals) is aorist from أظھر which means, he made it manifest, evident; he showed, discovered or revealed it. أظھرہ الله علیه means, God made him to know it. أظھرہ الله علی العدو means, God made him to overcome or prevail over or gain mastery over his enemy (Lane). In view of literal meaning of the word إظھار the expression إظھار علی الغیب means, being given very frequently knowledge of the secrets of the unknown that relate to and concern events of the greatest import.
