7:195
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Surely, those whom you call on beside Allah are mere servants like you. Then call on them and let them answer you, if you are truthful.
English - Five Volume Translation
Surely, those whom you call on beside Allah are mere servants like you. Then [a]call on them and let them answer you, if you are truthful.[1080]
35:15.
Commentary:
The verse constitutes an open challenge to the idol-worshippers or believers in the plurality of gods that all animate and inanimate things that they call on beside Allah will never answer their prayers, because they do not possess the power to do so.
English - Short Commentary Translation
Surely, those whom you call on beside Allah are creatures like you. Then [d]call on them and let them answer you, if you are truthful.[1085]
35:15.
The verse constitutes an open challenge to idol-worshippers to the effect that all animate and inanimate things that they call on besides Allah can never answer their prayers, because the idols do not possess the power to do so. But the Living God answers the prayers of His devotees.
