وَأَنذِرْ بِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَن يُحْشَرُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۙ لَيْسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ وَلِىٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And warn thereby those who fear that they shall be gathered to their Lord, that they shall have no friend nor intercessor beside Him, so that they may become righteous.

And warn thereby those who fear that they shall be gathered to their Lord, that they shall have no friend nor intercessor beside Him, so that they may become righteous.[797]

Commentary:

A warning can benefit only those who believe in the danger they are warned against. If a people do not believe in the existence of that which they are asked to guard against, the exhortation will do no good. Hence, in this verse, where the warning relates to the dangers of the Day of Resurrection, the Holy Prophet is bidden to warn not all mankind but only those who believe in the Day of Resurrection that they will have no friend nor intercessor on that awful day. As for those who do not believe in Resurrection, the way of preaching will be different—they will be first convinced of Resurrection and then warned against its dangers. Thus, incidentally the verse also teaches us how to preach. We should always base our arguments on things which the persons addressed believe to be true, so that our preaching may have the desired effect.

And warn thereby those who fear that they shall be gathered to their Lord that they shall have no friend nor intercessor besides Him, so that they may become righteous.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اس (قرآن) کے ذریعہ تو انہیں ڈرا جو خوف رکھتے ہیں کہ وہ اپنے ربّ کی طرف اکٹھے کئے جائیں گے۔ اس (قرآن) کے سوا اُن کا کوئی ولی اور کوئی شفاعت کرنے والا نہیں ہو گا۔ تاکہ وہ تقویٰ اختیار کریں۔

French

Et par ce moyen, mets en garde ceux qui craignent d’être rassemblés auprès de leur Seigneur qu’ils n’auront, à part Lui, ni protecteur ni intercesseur, afin qu’ils agissent avec droiture.

German

Und warne hiermit jene, die da fürchten, dass sie zu ihrem Herrn versammelt würden – wo sie keinen Freund noch Fürsprecher haben werden außer Ihm –, auf dass sie doch gottesfürchtig werden.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور تو اس (کلام) کے ذریعہ سے ان لوگوں کو جو اس بات سے ڈرتے ہیں کہ انہیں ان کے رب کی طرف اکٹھا کرکے لے جایا جائے گا۔ جب کہ اس کے سوا نہ ان کا کوئی مددگار ہوگا۔ نہ سفارشی۔ اس لئے ڈرا کہ وہ تقویٰ اختیار کریں۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اے محمدؐ! تم اس (علم وحی) کے ذریعہ سے اُن لوگوں کو نصیحت کرو جو اس بات کا خوف رکھتے ہیں کہ اپنے رب کے سامنے کبھی اس حال میں پیش کیے جائیں گے کہ اُس کے سوا وہاں کوئی (ایسا ذی اقتدار) نہ ہوگا جو ان کا حامی و مدد گار ہو، یا ان کی سفارش کرے، شاید کہ (اس نصیحت سے متنبہ ہو کر) وہ خدا ترسی کی روش اختیار کر لیں

English - Sahih

And warn by the Qur'an those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - for them besides Him will be no protector and no intercessor - that they might become righteous.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور اس قرآن کے ذریعے سے ان لوگو ں کو ڈرا جنہیں اس کا ڈر ہے کہ وہ اپنے رب کے سامنے جمع کیے جائیں گے اس طرح پر کہ الله کے سوا ان کوئی مددگار اور سفارش کرنے والا نہ ہو گا تاکہ وہ پرہیزگار ہوجائیں

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

And warn therewith those who fear they shall be mustered to their Lord; they have, apart from God, no protector and no intercessor; haply they will be godfearing.

And warn with this (revealed message) those who fear that they shall be mustered to their Lord, that there will be none apart from Allah to act as their protector and intercessor; then maybe they will become God-fearing.

Warn those who fear, through this (Qur'an), that they will be gathered before their Lord, and they will have none to protect or intercede for them apart from Him. They may haply take heed for themselves.
