فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُلْ ءَاذَنتُكُمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍ ۖ وَإِنْ أَدْرِىٓ أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ

But if they turn back, say, ‘I have warned you all alike and I know not whether that which you are promised is near or distant.

72:26.

Commentary:

The verse makes it clear that God is not bound by dates and hours for the fulfilment of His promises. He knows best if and when a certain prophecy is to be fulfilled.

پس اگر وہ منہ موڑ لیں تو کہہ دے کہ میں نے تم سب کو برابر اطلاع کر دی ہے اور میں نہیں جانتا کہ جس کا تم وعدہ دئیے جاتے ہو وہ قریب ہے یا دُور۔

Mais s’ils s’en détournent, alors dis : « Je vous ai fait l’annonce à tous pareillement, et je ne sais pas si ce qui vous est promis est proche ou éloigné.

Doch wenn sie den Rücken kehren, so sprich: "Ich habe die Kunde euch gleichmäßig entboten, und ich weiß nicht, ob nah oder ferne ist, was euch verheißen ward.

如果他们背弃, 那么, 你 (对他们) 说: “我对你们中 (信者和不信者) 同样地传达了教训, [e]我不知你们受约的 (惩罚) 是近还是远呢?[850]

72:26.

安拉实现他的许约不限时日。他最知道, 是否以及何时将实现某一预言。

Ma se voltano le spalle, dì: «Io vi ho avvertiti tutti egualmente e non so se ciò che vi è stato promesso è prossimo o lontano.»

Mas si te dan la espalda, diles: “Os he advertido, a todos por igual; y no sé si aquello que se os ha prometido está cercano o lejano”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

پس اگر وہ پیٹھ پھیر لیں تو تو ان سے کہہ دے کہ میں نے تم (میں سے مومن و کافر) کو برابر خبر دے دی ہے اورمیں نہیں جانتا کہ وہ امر جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا گیا تھا قریب ہے یا بعید۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اگر وہ منہ پھیریں تو کہہ دو کہ "میں نے علی الاعلان تم کو خبردار کر دیا ہے اب یہ میں نہیں جانتا کہ وہ چیز جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جا رہا ہے قریب ہے یا دُور

But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised.

پھر اگر وہ منہ موڑیں تو کہہ دو کہ میں نے یکساں طور پر خبر دے دی ہے اورمجھے معلوم نہیں کہ نزدیک ہے یا دور ہے جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہے
