مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
附加在 قَارِعَة (Qari‘ah) 上的冠词 اَلْ (al) 使灾难显得特别严重, 更加可怕, 而附加小品词 مَا (ma, 什么) 使灾难显得更剧烈, 毁灭性更大。
Whereas the particle al added to Qari‘ah has particularized the calamity and heightened its dreadfulness, the addition of the particle ma (what) makes it all the more severe and destructive.
Commentary:
Whereas the particle ال added to قارعة has particularized the calamity and heightened its dreadfulness, the addition of the particle ما (what) makes it still more severe and destructive.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
真是大祸临头, 简直不可能想象有多可怕, 更不谈用语言表达。另见第 69 章第2-5节经文, 在那几节经文中用了同样的表达方式来描写灾难的类似的影响。قَارِعَة (Qari‘ah) 除了一次非常灾难之外还表示突然来临的惩罚。
The calamity would be so catastrophic that it is impossible to conceive of its dreadfulness, much less to describe it in words. See also 69:2-5 where an identical expression to produce an analogous effect has been used. Qari‘ah, besides a great calamity, signifies punishment that comes suddenly.
Commentary:
