[1] زَحَّهُ , (S, L, K,) aor. زَحُ3َ , (S, L,) inf. n. زَحٌّ; (L;) and ↓ زَحْزَحَهُ; (L;) He removed him, or it, from his, or its, place: (S, L, K:) and he pushed, or thrust, away, him, or it: (L, K:) or the latter, he removed him, or it, far away; placed, or put, him, or it, at a distance, far away, or far off: (S, A, Mgh, L, Msb:) and the former signifies also he drew, dragged, or pulled, away, him, or it, in haste. (L, K.) You say, ↓ زَحْزَحَهُ عَنْهُ He removed him, or it, far away; (S, K;) or pushed, or thrust, away; and removed; him, or it; (TA;) from it; (S, K;) i. e. from his, or its, place. (TA.) It is said in the Kur [iii. 182], فَمَنْ زُحْزِحَ ↓ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ, i. e. [And he] who shall be removed [from the fire of Hell], or removed far away [therefrom, and made to enter Paradise, shall attain good fortune]. (TA.)

2:97

وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَوٰةٍ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۚ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And thou shalt surely find them of all people, the most covetous of life, even more than those who set up equals with God. Every one of them wishes that he may be granted a life of a thousand years, but his being granted such life shall not keep him away from the punishment; and Allah sees all that they do.

3:186

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۗ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۖ فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ ٱلنَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ ۗ وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Every soul shall taste of death. And you shall be paid in full your rewards only on the Day of Resurrection. So whosoever is removed away from the Fire and is made to enter Heaven has indeed attained his goal. And the life of this world is nothing but an illusory enjoyment.
