But as for [d]those in whose hearts is a disease, it adds further uncleanness to their present uncleanness and they die while they are disbelievers.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

ہاں وہ لوگ جن کے دلوں میں مرض ہے یہ (سورت) ان کی ناپاکی میں مزید ناپاکی کا اضافہ کر دیتی ہے اور وہ کافر ہونے کی حالت میں مرتے ہیں۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور جن کے دل میں بیماری ہے اس (سورۃ) نے ان کے (پہلے) گند پر اور گند چڑھا دیا ہے۔ یہاں تک کہ وہ ایسی حالت میںمریں گے کہ وہ کافر ہوں گے۔

البتہ جن لوگوں کے دلوں کو (نفاق کا) روگ لگا ہوا تھا اُن کی سابق نجاست پر (ہر نئی سورت نے) ایک اور نجاست کا اضافہ کر دیا اور وہ مرتے دم تک کفر ہی میں مبتلا رہے

But as for those in whose hearts is disease, it has [only] increased them in evil [in addition] to their evil. And they will have died while they are disbelievers.

اور جن کے دلوں میں مرض ہے سوان کے حق میں نجاست پر نجاست بڑھا دی اور وہ مرتے دم تک کافر ہی رہے

Commentary:

Divine revelation is like rainwater. If the seed is good and the soil favourable, rain is sure to help in producing a good crop; but if the seed and the soil are bad, the crop is bound to be bad in spite of good rain. As the soil of the hearts of the hypocrites was unclean and corrupt, the water of Divine revelation only served to add to their filth; for with the coming down of heavenly rain the filth that lay hidden in the hearts of the disbelievers also came out.
