إِنَّا بَلَوْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟ لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ

We will surely try them as We tried the owners of the garden when they vowed that they would certainly pluck all its fruit in the morning,

We will surely try them as We tried the owners of the garden when they vowed that they would certainly pluck all its fruit in the morning,[4318]

Commentary:

Here the base, greedy and conceited disbelievers have been compared to the owner of a garden who would devour all its fruit and would not allow any share to those who had also put in their labour in developing the gardens and would defraud them of their just rights.

English - Short Commentary Translation

We will, surely, try them as We tried the owners of the garden when they vowed to each other that they would, certainly, gather all its fruit in the morning.[3097]

Here the base, greedy and conceited disbelievers have been compared to the owner of a garden who would devour all its fruit and would not share it with those who had also put in their labour in developing it and would defraud them of their just rights in it.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

ہم نے ان کو آزمایا جیسے گھنے باغ والوں کو آزمایا تھا۔ جب انہوں نے قسم کھائی تھی کہ وہ ضرور پو پھٹتے ہی اس کی فصل کاٹ لیں گے۔

French

En vérité, Nous les éprouverons comme Nous avons éprouvé les propriétaires du jardin lorsqu’ils jurèrent que certainement ils en feraient la récolte le lendemain matin,

German

Wir prüfen sie, wie Wir die Eigentümer eines Gartens prüften, als sie schworen, sie würden sicherlich seine (ganze) Frucht am Morgen pflücken.

Chinese

我必将考验他们, 正像我考验了那些果园的主人, 当他们 (互相) 发誓, 说: “我们必将在早晨采集园中 (所有的) 果实。”[1461]

卑鄙、贪婪而自负的不信者在这里被比作果园主人, 他吞没了园内所有的果实, 不愿与出劳力种植园子的人分享, 并骗取他们的正当权利。

Italian

Per certo, Noi li metteremo alla prova, come abbiamo messo alla prova i proprietari del giardino, quando avevano giurato che, al mattino, ne avrebbero senz'altro raccolto tutti i frutti.

Spanish

En verdad los probaremos como probamos a los propietarios del ardín cuando juraron que ciertamente recogerían todos sus frutos por la mañana,

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

ہم نے ان دشمنوں کو ایسے ہی ابتلا میں ڈالا ہے۔ جس ابتلا میں ان باغوں[1] والے لوگوں کو ڈالا تھا جنہوں نے آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو قسمیں کھا کر کہا تھا کہ ہم صبح جاکر اپنے باغ کے پھول توڑیں گے۔

اس جگہ اَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّۃِ یعنی باغ والوں سے مراد محمد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور ان کے مکہ والے رشتہ دار ہیں جن کے لئے خداتعالیٰ نے قرآن مجید کی جنت اتاری تھی لیکن انہوں نے بجائے اس جنت سے فائدہ اٹھانے کے لوگوں کو اس جنت سے محروم کرنے کی کوشش کرنی شروع کر دی اور آپس میں یہ معاہدہ کیا کہ ایسے وقت میں اس جنّت میں چلو جب کوئی اور آنے والا نہ ہو۔ یہی مکہ والے کرتے تھے یعنی جو شخص آپ کی باتیں سننے آتا تھا اس کے کانوں میں روئی ڈال دیتے تھے۔ یا جب آپ باتیں کرتے تھے تو اس میں شور مچا دیتے تھے تاکہ کوئی سنے نہیں اور ان سے فائدہ نہ اٹھائے جیسا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہ

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

ہم نے اِن (اہل مکہ) کو اُسی طرح آزمائش میں ڈالا ہے جس طرح ایک باغ کے مالکوں کو آزمائش میں ڈالا تھا، جب اُنہوں نے قسم کھائی کہ صبح سویرے ضرور اپنے باغ کے پھل توڑیں گے

English - Sahih

Indeed, We have tried them as We tried the companions of the garden, when they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning

بے شک ہم نے ان کو آزمایا ہے جیسا کہ ہم نے باغ والوں کو آزمایا تھا جب انہوں نے قسم کھائی تھی کہ وہ ضرور صبح ہوتے ہی اس کا پھل توڑ لیں گے
