وَهُوَ ٱلْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِۦ ۖ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And He is Supreme over His servants, and He sends guardians to watch over you, until, when death comes to anyone of you, Our messengers take his soul, and they fail not.

And [a]He is Supreme over His servants, and [b]He sends guardians to watch over you, until, when death comes to anyone of you, Our messengers take his soul, and they fail not.[807]

Commentary:

This verse provides another reason why God alone is entitled to punish. He is قاھر (Supreme), i.e. Powerful and Mighty over all, therefore He can punish any of His creatures whenever He thinks it proper. The powerful are never in a hurry to punish, for they know that they can punish whenever they will. Again, it is God Himself Who guards His creatures and supports them, and it is through His grace that they enjoy security. So destruction can befall them only when He withdraws His grace, and He does so when He thinks it proper.

The words, they fail not, signify that when God finally issues a decree, nothing can delay it or set it aside.

This verse provides another reason why God alone is entitled to punish. He is Qahir, i.e. Powerful and Mighty over all, therefore He can punish any of His creatures in His infallible knowledge whenever He thinks proper. The powerful are never in a hurry to punish.

اور وہ اپنے بندوں پر جلالی شان کے ساتھ غالب ہے اور وہ تم پر حفاظت کرنے والے (نگران) بھیجتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم میں سے کسی کو موت آجائے تو اُسے ہمارے رسول (فرشتے) وفات دے دیتے ہیں اور وہ کسی پہلو کو نظر انداز نہیں کرتے۔

French

Et de par Sa gloire et Sa majesté, Il est le Dominant sur Ses serviteurs – l’humanité, et Il envoie des gardiens pour veiller sur vous, jusqu’à ce que, quand la mort surprend l’un d’entre vous, Nos messagers prennent son âme et ils négligent rien.

这节经文提出了只有安拉有权惩罚的另一理由。他是 اَلْقَاهِرْ (Al-Qahir), 也就是说, 他对一切都是大力和有权能的, 因此, 他可用他正确可靠的知识, 在他以为适当的任何时候, 惩罚任何他所创造的事物。凡有大力的, 是从来也不会急於惩罚的。

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور وہ اپنے بندوں پر غالب ہے اور تم پر نگران (مقرر کرکے) بھیجتا[1] (رہتا) ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم میں سے کسی کو موت آپکڑتی ہے تو ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے (فرشتے) اس کی روح قبض کر لیتے ہیں اور وہ (حکم کی تکمیل میں) کمی نہیں کرتے۔

یعنی رسول۔ دوسری جگہ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے۔فَکَیۡفَ اِذَا جِئۡنَا مِنۡ کُلِّ اُمَّۃٍۭ بِشَہِیۡدٍ (نساء: ۴۲) یعنی اس دن کیا ہوگا جب ہم ہر قوم میں سے ایک نگران لا کر گواہی دینے کے لئے کھڑا کر دیں گے یعنی رسول۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اپنے بندوں پر وہ پوری قدرت رکھتا ہے اور تم پر نگرانی کرنے والے مقرر کر کے بھیجتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ جب تم میں سے کسی کی موت کا وقت آ جاتا ہے تو اس کے بھیجے ہوئے فرشتے اس کی جان نکال لیتے ہیں اور اپنا فرض انجام دینے میں ذرا کوتاہی نہیں کرتے

English - Sahih

And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].

اور وہی اپنے بندوں پر غالب ہے اور تم پر نگہبان بھیجتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم میں سے کسی کو موت آ پہنچتی ہے تو ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے فرشتے اسے قبضہ میں لے لیتے اور وہ ذرا کوتاہی نہیں کرتے

He is the Omnipotent over His servants. He sends recorders over you till, when any one of you is visited by death, Our messengers take him and they neglect not.

And He alone holds sway over His servants and sets guardians over you till death approaches any of you and Our deputed angels take his soul, neglecting no part of their task.
