أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Will they not then turn to Allah and beg His forgiveness, while Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful?

Will they not then turn to Allah and beg His forgiveness, while Allah is Most Forgiving and Merciful?[705]

Commentary:

No vicarious sacrifice is needed for the salvation of man. God himself can forgive all sins. Only a truly penitent and contrite heart is required to attract His forgiveness. Why the Christians then do not turn to God and entreat Him to pardon their sins? What need is there to resort to, and depend on, an unintelligible doctrine that Jesus, "Son of God", was crucified to atone for the sins of men and that those who wish to have their sins forgiven should believe in this atonement. The verse points out that, as God possesses full power to forgive, so those who sincerely repent of their sins and turn to Him with truly penitent hearts can always hope to find Him Forgiving and Merciful.

Will they not then turn to Allah and ask His forgiveness, while Allah is Most Forgiving and Merciful?[779]

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پس کیا وہ اللہ کی طرف توبہ کرتے ہوئے جھکتے نہیں اور اس سے بخشش طلب نہیں کرتے جبکہ اللہ بہت ہی بخشنے والا (اور) بار بار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

German

Wollen sie denn sich nicht bekehren zu Allah und Seine Verzeihung erbitten? Und Allah ist allverzeihend, barmherzig.

他们为什么仍不归向安拉, 向他祈求宽恕 (自己的罪过)? 殊不知安拉是最宽恕的, 永久仁慈的。[388]

为了拯救人类不需要代替别人的牺牲。安拉自己会宽恕一切罪恶。只需要一颗真正悔悟之心就能求取他的宽恕。

Non si volgeranno essi dunque ad Allah, e non imploreranno il Suo perdono, dato che Allah è il Clemente, il Misericordioso?

Spanish

¿No se volverán a Al-lah y pedirán Su perdón, siendo así que Al-lah es el Sumo Indulgente, Misericordioso?

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

پھر کیا وہ (لوگ) اللہ کی طرف نہیں جھکتے اور اس سے (اپنے گناہوں کی) معافی (نہیں) مانگتے۔ حالانکہ اللہ بہت بخشنے والا (اور) باربار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

پھر کیا یہ اللہ سے توبہ نہ کریں گے اور اس سے معافی نہ مانگیں گے؟ اللہ بہت درگزر فرمانے والا اور رحم کرنے والا ہے

English - Sahih

So will they not repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

الله کے آگے کیوں توبہ نہیں کرتے اور اس سے گناہ نہیں بخشواتے اور الله بخشنے والا مہربان ہے
