أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ

How can they benefit by admonition, when there has already come to them a Messenger, explaining things clearly,

How can they benefit by admonition, when there has already come to them a Messenger, explaining things clearly,[3706]

Commentary:

The verse means to say that, now that the Meccans have been visited with Divine punishment, they cry that if it is removed, they would repent and reform. Their present show of humility, however, is only a temporary phase. There has come to them a great Prophet, whose whole life lay before them like an open book. They knew that he was honest, sincere, truthful and trusty. Yet they rejected such a paragon of truth and righteousness. What trust could then be placed in their word?

ان کے لئے اب کہاں کی نصیحت جبکہ ان کے پاس ایک روشن دلائل والا رسول آچکا تھا۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اس دن ایمان لانے کی توفیق ان کو کہاں سے ملے گی حالانکہ ان کے پاس ایک حقیقت کو کھول کر بیان کرنے والا رسول آچکا ہے (جس کو انہوں نے نہیں مانا) ۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اِن کی غفلت کہاں دور ہوتی ہے؟ اِن کا حال تو یہ ہے کہ اِن کے پاس رسول مبین آ گیا

How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger.
