قُل لَّكُم مِّيعَادُ يَوْمٍ لَّا تَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ عَنْهُ سَاعَةً وَلَا تَسْتَقْدِمُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Say, ‘For you is the promise of a day from which you cannot remain behind a single moment nor can you get ahead of it.’

Say, ‘For you is the promise of a day from which [a]you cannot remain behind a single moment nor can you get ahead of it.’[3155]

Commentary:

If v. 27 above is taken as referring to the Battle of Badr, the word یوم (day) in the present verse would signify 'a year'. The Battle of Badr wasfought in about a year after the Hijrah.

English - Short Commentary Translation

Say, ‘For you is the promise of a day[2396] from which [b]you cannot remain behind a single moment, nor can you get ahead of it.’

The Day of the Battle of Badr or the day mentioned in 32:6 which is stated to be equal to one thousand years after the expiry of which the period of the recognition and acceptance of Islam as a universal Faith will begin.

تُو کہہ دے کہ تمہارے لئے ایک (معیّن) دن کا وعدہ ہے جس سے تم ایک لمحہ بھی نہ پیچھے رہ سکتے ہو اور نہ آگے بڑھ سکتے ہو۔

Dis : « Pour vous est la promesse d’un jour duquel vous ne pouvez rester en arrière un seul instant et que vous ne pouvez non plus devancer d’un seul instant. »

German

Sprich: "Euch ist die Frist von einem Tag* festgesetzt, von der ihr nicht einen Augenblick säumen noch (ihr) vorauseilen könnt."

Chinese

你 (对他们) 说: “你们是有一天的约言的。[1050] [c]你们不能逗留在那一天之前一刹那, 也不能逾越那一天一刹那。”

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

تو کہہ دے کہ تمہارے لئے ایک دن [1]کی میعاد مقرر ہے نہ تو تم اس سے ایک گھڑی پیچھے رہ سکو گے‘ نہ ایک گھڑی آگے بڑھ سکو گے۔

ایک دن سے مراد ایک ہزار سال ہے۔ یعنی اسلام کی ترقی کے پہلے تین سو سال حدیث کے مطابق ملا کر تیرھویں صدی ہجری تک یہ وعدہ چلے گا اور تیسری صدی کے بعد جب ہزار سال پورا ہو جائے گا یعنی اصطلاحاً ایک دن تو اسلام کی ترقی کا زمانہ آجائے گا۔

کہو تمہارے لیے ایک ایسے دن کی میعاد مقرر ہے جس کے آنے میں نہ ایک گھڑی بھر کی تاخیر تم کر سکتے ہو اور نہ ایک گھڑی بھر پہلے اسے لا سکتے ہو

English - Sahih

Say, "For you is the appointment of a Day [when] you will not remain thereafter an hour, nor will you precede [it]."

کہہ دو تمہارے لیے ایک دن کا وعدہ ہے کہ جس سے نہ ایک گھڑی پیچھے ہو سکتے ہو اور نہ آگے بڑھ سکتے ہو
