أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِى مَسَٰكِنِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ ۖ أَفَلَا يَسْمَعُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Does it not guide them how many a generation We have destroyed before them, amid whose dwellings they now walk about? In that surely are Signs. Will they not then hearken?

Does it not furnish guidance to them how many a generation have We destroyed before them, amid whose dwellings they now walk about? In that, surely, are Signs. Will they not then listen?

پس کیا اس بات نے انہیں ہدایت نہیں دی کہ ہم نے اُن سے پہلے کتنی ہی قومیں ہلاک کردیں جن کے (چھوڑے ہوئے) گھروں میں وہ چلتے پھرتے ہیں۔ یقیناً اس میں بہت سے نشانات ہیں۔ پس کیا وہ سنتے نہیں؟

Cela ne les guide-t-il pas, le nombre de générations que Nous avons anéanties avant eux et maintenant ils circulent dans leurs maisons en ruine ? Il y a assurément en cela des Signes. Ne veulent-ils donc pas écouter ?

Ist ihnen nicht klar, wie so manches Geschlecht Wir schon vor ihnen vernichtet haben, in deren Wohnstätten sie nun wandeln? Hierin sind wahrlich Zeichen. Wollen sie also nicht hören?

在他们之前, 我曾毁灭了许多时代的人, 现在这些人来往于他们的故居, 这情景不引领他们走上正道? 的确, 其中有许多迹象, 但他们为什么不听从?

¿No les sirve de guía la cantidad de generaciones que hemos destruido antes de ellos, entre cuyas moradas ahora caminan? Aquí hay ciertamente Signos. ¿No querrán escuchar?

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

کیا اُن کو اس بات نے ہدایت نہیں دی کہ ہم نے بہت سے زمانوں کے لوگوں کو ان سے پہلے ہلاک کر دیا تھا (اور اب) یہ لوگ انہی کے گھروں میں چلتے پھرتے ہیں۔ اس میں یقیناً بہت سے نشان ہیں مگر کیا وہ سنتے نہیں؟

اور کیا اِن لوگوں کو (اِن تاریخی واقعات میں) کوئی ہدایت نہیں ملی کہ ان سے پہلے کتنی قوموں کو ہم ہلاک کر چکے ہیں جن کے رہنے کی جگہوں میں آج یہ چلتے پھرتے ہیں؟ اس میں بڑی نشانیاں ہیں، کیا یہ سنتے نہیں ہیں؟

Has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them, [as] they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs; then do they not hear?

کیا انھیں اس سے بھی رہنمائی نہ ہوئی کہ ان سے پہلے ہم نے کتنی جماعتیں ہلاک کر دی ہیں جن کے گھروں میں یہ چلتے پھرتے ہیں بے شک اس میں بڑی نشانیاں ہیں پھر کیا وہ سنتے بھی نہیں
