Commentary:
Throughout the Quran the name of Abraham has been associated with a vigorous campaign against idolatry. He seems to be the first uncompromising iconoclast of whose activities history has kept a record.
He preached against idolatry, even at the peril of his life and preached the Unity of God to his father, to his people and to the king of his country.
