[1] عَلَنَ الأَمْرُ , aor. عَلُنَ (S, Msb, K) and عَلِنَ ; (K;) and عَلُنَ, aor. عَلُنَ ; (K;) and عَلِنَ, aor. عَلَنَ ; (ISk, S, Msb, K;) inf. n. عُلُونٌ, which is of the first; (S, Msb;) and عَلَنٌ, (ISk, S, Msb, K, TA, [app., accord. to the CK, عَلْنٌ, but this is wrong,]) which is of the last; (ISk, S, Msb, TA;) and عَلَانِيَةٌ, (K, TA,) which is of the three; (TA;) or this last is a simple subst.; (Msb;) The affair, or case, or event, was, or became, overt, open, manifest, public, (S, * Msb, K, TA,) published, or spread; (Msb, TA;) and ↓ اعتلن signifies the same; (K;) [and so ↓ استعلن, but for this I know not any authority except modern usage: and اعلن has a similar meaning, expl. below.] ＝ 1-A2- [The CK has عَلَنْتُهُ where other copies of the K, and the TA, have عَلَّنْتُهُ, as syn. with أَعْلَنْتُهُ, q. v.]

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَتَّخِذُوۡا عَدُوِّیۡ وَعَدُوَّکُمۡ اَوۡلِیَآءَ تُلۡقُوۡنَ اِلَیۡہِمۡ بِالۡمَوَدَّۃِ وَقَدۡ کَفَرُوۡا بِمَا جَآءَکُمۡ مِّنَ الۡحَقِّ یُخۡرِجُوۡنَ الرَّسُوۡلَ وَاِیَّاکُمۡ ۙ اَنۡ تُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰہِ رَبِّکُمۡ اِنۡ کُنۡتُمۡ خَرَجۡتُمۡ جِہٰدًا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِیۡ وَابۡتِغَآءَ مَرۡضَاتِیۡ ۚ تُسِرُّوۡنَ اِلَیۡہِمۡ بِالۡمَوَدَّۃِ وَاَنَا۠ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَاۤ اَخۡفَیۡتُمۡ وَمَاۤ اَعۡلَنۡتُمۡ ۚ وَمَنۡ یَّفۡعَلۡہُ مِنۡکُمۡ فَقَدۡ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ السَّبِیۡلِ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
O ye who believe! take not My enemy and your enemy for friends, offering them love, while they disbelieve in the truth which has come to you and drive out the Messenger and yourselves from your homes merely because you believe in Allah, your Lord. If you go forth, to strive in My cause and seek My pleasure, take them not for friends, sending them messages of love in secret, while I know best what you conceal and what you reveal. And whoever of you does so, has, surely, lost the right path.
71:10

ثُمَّ اِنِّیۡۤ اَعۡلَنۡتُ لَہُمۡ وَاَسۡرَرۡتُ لَہُمۡ اِسۡرَارًا
