إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ

Those who were guilty used to laugh at those who believed;

Commentary:

The verse means that disbelievers used to laugh in their sleeves at the frequent prophecies about the rapid spread and triumph of Islam, made at a time when it was fighting a seemingly losing battle for its existence.

Los culpables solían burlarse de los creyentes;

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

وہ لوگ جو مجرم ہوئے‘ یقیناً مومنوں سے ہنسی (ٹھٹھا) کیا کرتے تھے۔[1]

اوپر جو مومنوں کا حال بیان کیا گیا ہے وہ تو دنیوی فتوحات اور اخروی نعماء کا ہے۔ اس کے مقابلہ میں کفار کا حال دنیا میں اس طرح گذرا ہے کہ وہ مومنوں سے ہنسی ٹھٹھا کرنے میں ہی اپنا وقت گذار دیتے تھے۔

مجرم لوگ دنیا میں ایمان لانے والوں کا مذاق اڑاتے تھے
