كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَآ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ وَكُلٌّ كَانُوا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Their case is like the case of the people of Pharaoh and those before them: they rejected the Signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins. And We drowned the people of Pharaoh, for they were all wrongdoers.

[a]Their case is like the case of the people of Pharaoh and those before them; they rejected the Signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins. And We drowned the people of Pharaoh, for they were all wrongdoers.[1143]

3:12; 8:53.

Commentary:

The verse repeats the subject matter of 8:53 above, with the change that here (1) the words اخذھم اللّه (Allah punished them, lit. Allah seized them) have been changed to اھلکناھم (We destroyed them); and (2) the words, We drowned the people of Pharaoh, etc. have been added. This is to point to the severity of the punishment and the total destruction of the disbelievers.

English - Short Commentary Translation

[b]O disbelievers! your condition will also be like that of the people of Pharaoh and those before them; they rejected the Signs[1133] of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins. And We drowned the people of Pharaoh, for they were all wrongdoers.

Ayah means, a message; a commandment; a Sign, a verse of the Qur’an (Lane).

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

فرعون کی قوم اور ان لوگوں کے اسلوب کی طرح جو ان سے پہلے تھے (تمہارا بھی اسلوب ہے)۔ انہوں نے اپنے ربّ کی آیات کو جھٹلا دیا تو ہم نے انہیں ان کے گناہوں کے سبب سے ہلاک کر دیا اور فرعون کی قوم کو ہم نے غرق کر دیا اور وہ سب کے سب ظالم لوگ تھے۔

French

Leur cas est comme celui du peuple de Pharaon et de ses devanciers ; ils ont rejeté les Signes de leur Seigneur. Nous les avons donc anéantis pour leurs péchés. Et Nous avons noyé le peuple de Pharaon, car ils étaient tous transgresseurs.

Wie die Leute Pharaos und die vor ihnen waren: Sie verwarfen die Zeichen ihres Herrn, darum tilgten Wir sie aus um ihrer Sünden willen, und Wir ertränkten die Leute Pharaos; sie waren alle Frevler.

[a](不信者啊!你们的情况) 也将类似法老民族及其以前那些人们的情况; 他们也不信了自己养主的迹象[550], 於是我因他们的罪过毁灭了他们。(因为他们远离了安拉, 所以他们的恩惠便被夺去了。) 我淹没了法老的民族, 他们原都是不义的人。

اٰيَة Ayah 意指: 讯息; 戒律; 迹象, «古兰经» 中的一节经文 (Lane)。

Il loro caso è come quello del popolo del Faraone e di quelli che lo precedettero. Essi respinsero i segni del loro Signore. Così Noi li distruggemmo per i loro peccati. E Noi facemmo annegare il popolo del Faraone perché erano tutti trasgressori.

Su ejemplo es como el del pueblo del Faraón y los que los precedieron: rechazaron los Signos de su Señor, por lo que los destruimos por sus pecados. Y ahogamos a las gentes del Faraón porque todos eran transgresores.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(اے منکرو! تمہارا حال بھی) فرعون کی قوم اور ان سے پہلے لوگوں کی طرح (ہوگا) جنہوں نے اپنے رب کی آیات کا انکار کیا تھا۔ تب ہم نے ان کو ان کے گناہوں کے سبب سے ہلاک کر دیا۔ (اور ان کے انعامات اس لئے چھین لئے گئے کہ انہوں نے خدا سے منہ پھیر لیا) اور ہم نے فرعون کی قوم کو غرق کر دیا تھا اور وہ سب ظالم تھے۔

آلِ فرعون اور ان سے پہلے کی قوموں کے ساتھ جو کچھ پیش آیا وہ اِسی ضابطہ کے مطابق تھا انہوں نے اپنے رب کی آیات کو جھٹلایا تب ہم نے ان کے گناہوں کی پاداش میں انہیں ہلاک کیا اور آل فرعون کو غرق کر دیا یہ سب ظالم لوگ تھے

English - Sahih

[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers.

جیسے فرعونیوں اور ان سے پہلے لوگوں کاحال ہوا تھا انہوں نے اپنے رب کی آیتوں کو جھٹلایا تو ہم نے انہیں ان کے گناہوں کے سبب ہلاک کر ڈالا اور فرعونیوں کو ڈبو دیا اور سب ظالم تھے

Like Pharaoh's folk, and the people before him, who cried lies to the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them because of their sins, and We drowned the folk of Pharaoh; and all were evildoers.
