وَمَا جَعَلَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشْرَىٰ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ بِهِۦ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۚ وَمَا ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And Allah made it only as glad tidings, and that your hearts might thereby be set at rest. But help comes from Allah alone; surely, Allah is Mighty, Wise.

And [a]Allah made it only as glad tidings, and that your hearts might thereby be set at rest. But help comes from Allah alone; surely, Allah is Mighty, Wise.[1101]

Commentary:

See note on 3:127. As an intermediary means is sometimes likely to be confused with the real source of help which is God Almighty, the Quran takes particular care to remind Muslims that the real source of all help and all power is God alone.

And Allah [d]made it only as glad tidings so that your hearts might thereby be set at rest.[1100] But help comes from Allah alone; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اللہ نے اُسے (تمہارے لئے) محض ایک بشارت بنایا تھا اور اس لئے کہ تمہارے دل اس سے مطمئن ہو جائیں جبکہ کوئی مدد نہیں (آتی) مگر اللہ ہی کی طرف سے۔ یقیناً اللہ کامل غلبہ والا (اور) بہت حکمت والا ہے۔

French

Et Allāh ne fit cela que comme une bonne nouvelle, et afin que vos cœurs soient ainsi tranquillisés. Mais c’est d’Allāh Seul que vient le secours ; assurément, Allāh est Puissant et Sage.

German

Allah tat dies nur als frohe Botschaft, auf dass eure Herzen sich dadurch beruhigten. Jedoch Hilfe kommt von Allah allein; wahrlich, Allah ist allmächtig, allweise.

安拉[d]只把这个消息当作喜讯下降了, 以便你们的心藉此得到安宁。但帮助只来自安拉, (天使只不过是一个象征而已); 的确安拉是优胜的, 全智的。

Italian

E Allah fece questa promessa solo per darvi una buona notizia e perché i vostri cuori fossero messi in pace. Ma non viene alcun aiuto se non da Allah. Sicuramente Allah è il Potente, il Saggio.

Spanish

Y Al-lah no hizo esto sino como una buena nueva, para que vuestros corazones se calmaran con ella. Pero la ayuda sólo procede de Al-lah; en verdad, Al-lah es Poderoso, Sabio.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اللہ نے اس خبر کو محض ایک بشارت[3] کے طور پر نازل کیا تھا تا کہ اس کے ذریعہ سے تمہارے دل مطمئن ہو جائیں اور مدد صرف اللہ کے پاس سے آتی ہے (فرشتے تو محض ایک علامت ہیں) اللہ یقیناً بہت غالب (اور) حکمت والا ہے۔

یعنی یہ مرادنہ تھی کہ سچ مچ فرشتے ان کفار سے جنگ کریں گے۔ بلکہ فرشتوں کی مدد اگر کشف میں دیکھی جائے تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہوتا ہے کہ خداتعالیٰ مدد کرے گا اور اس طرح مومن کو بشارت مل جاتی ہے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

یہ بات اللہ نے تمہیں صرف اس لیے بتا دی کہ تمہیں خوشخبری ہو اور تمہارے دل اس سے مطمئن ہو جائیں، ورنہ مدد تو جب بھی ہوتی ہے اللہ ہی کی طرف سے ہوتی ہے، یقیناً اللہ زبردست اور دانا ہے

English - Sahih

And Allah made it not but good tidings and so that your hearts would be assured thereby. And victory is not but from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور یہ تو الله نے فقط خوش خبری دی تھی اور تاکہ تمہارے دل اس سے مطمئن ہو جائیں اور مدد تو صرف الله ہی کی طرف سے ہے بے شک الله غالب حکمت والا ہے

And not (it was) made (by) Allah but good tidings and so that might be at rest with it your hearts. And (there is) no [the] victory except from [of] Allah. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

English - Arberry

God wrought this not, save as good tidings and that your hearts thereby might be at rest; help comes only from God; surely God is All-mighty, All-wise.

English - Maududi

Allah meant this as glad tidings and that your hearts may be set at rest. For every help comes from Allah alone. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

He gave you the good news only to reassure your hearts, for victory comes from God alone, and certainly God is all-mighty and all-wise.
