وَأَلَّوِ ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقًا

And if they keep to the right path, We shall certainly provide them with abundant water to drink,

46:33.

Important Words:

غدقاً (abundant) is infinitive-noun from غدق (ghadiqa). They say غدقت العین i.e. the spring or fountain abounded with water. غدقت الارض means, the land abounded with herbage (Lane & Aqrab).

Commentary:

The verse points out that if people had accepted the Divine Message and had kept to the right path, God would have bestowed upon them worldly gifts and benefits in abundance. Water being the source of all life, "abundant water" signifies abundance of wealth and other material gains.

And if the Meccan disbelievers keep to the right path, We shall, certainly, provide them with abundant water to drink,[3143]

اور اگر وہ صحیح مسلک پر استقامت دکھاتے تو ہم اُنہیں ضرور بافراغت پانی سے سیراب کرتے۔

Et s’ils se maintiennent sur le droit chemin, Nous leur donnerons certainement de l’eau à boire en abondance,

Wenn sie den (rechten) Pfad einhalten, dann werden Wir ihnen Wasser zu trinken geben in Fülle,

(使者啊! 我已判定了:) 如果他们 (麦加的不信者) 恪守 (正) 道, 我将供给他们丰富的饮水,[1503]

水是一切生命之源; “丰富的饮水” 指财富的丰富和其他物质利益的丰富。

E se i miscredenti si tengono sul sentiero giusto, Noi certamente procureremo loro abbondanza di acqua da bere,

Mas si se mantienen en el camino recto, ciertamente les proporcionaremos agua abundante para beber,

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور (اے پیغمبر! میں نے فیصلہ کر چھوڑا تھا کہ) اگر یہ (کفار مکہ) ہمارے بتائے ہوئے طریق پر قائم ہو جاتے تو ہم ان کو بافراغت پانی پلاتے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اور (اے نبیؐ، کہو، مجھ پر یہ وحی بھی کی گئی ہے کہ) لوگ اگر راہ راست پر ثابت قدمی سے چلتے تو ہم اُنہیں خوب سیراب کرتے

And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision

اور اگر (مکہ والے) سیدھے راستے پر قائم رہتے تو ہم ان کو با افراط پانی سے سیراب کرتے
