عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ

To bring in their place others better than they, and We cannot be frustrated in Our plans.

To bring in their place others better than they, and We cannot be frustrated in Our plans.[4382B]

Commentary:

The opponents of the Holy Prophet are told here that it is an unalterable Divine decree that Islam shall succeed and prevail in Arabia and that if they rejected it, other people would enter its fold and inherit God’s blessings. The old order would change and from its ruins would emerge a new and better order.

English - Short Commentary Translation

To bring in their place others better than they,[3128] and We cannot be frustrated in Our plans.

The opponents of the Holy Prophet are told that old order will vanish and from its ruins will emerge a new and better order and other people will take their place.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اس پر کہ اُنہیں تبدیل کرکے ہم اُن سے بہتر لے آئیں۔ اور ہم پر سبقت نہیں لے جائی جاسکتی۔

以比他们更好的 (人们) 代替他们,[1492]我 (在自己的计划中) 是不会受挫败的。

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

کہ اس قوم کو تباہ کرکے ایک اور اچھی قوم پیدا کر دیں اور کوئی ہم کو اس ارادہ سے باز نہیں رکھ سکتا۔

کہ اِن کی جگہ اِن سے بہتر لوگ لے آئیں اور کوئی ہم سے بازی لے جانے والا نہیں ہے

To replace them with better than them; and We are not to be outdone.
