وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ ۚ قَوْلُهُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ وَلَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ

And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in accordance with the requirements of wisdom; and the day He says, ‘Be!’, it will be. His word is the truth, and His will be the kingdom on the day when the trumpet will be blown. He is the Knower of the unseen and the seen. And He is the Wise, the All-Aware.

And [b]He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in accordance with the require-ments of wisdom; and the day He says, ‘Be’, it will be. His word is the truth, and His will be the kingdom on the day [c]when the trumpet will be blown. He is [d]the Knower of the unseen and the seen. And He is the Wise, the All-Aware.[819]

Commentary:

The word کن (be) really denotes a simple command intended to bring about a change. When the word is used concerning a thing which does not exist, it naturally signifies the bringing into being something which God has willed. When, however, the word is used concerning a thing which already exists, then it generally means that the thing will come to nought when God so wills. Thus the sentence, He it is Who created…and the day He says, 'Be', it will be, signifies that everything is in the power of God; so when God issues a command concerning the breaking-up of the power of disbelievers, it will surely come to nought.

The expression, His word is the truth, means that the prophecy mentioned above is a true one and must come to pass and nothing can stop it. See the meaning of حق under 2:148 & 3:4.

The words, His will be the kingdom on the day when the trumpet will be blown, mean that the visible kingdom of God will be established when Islam triumphs and false and idolatrous beliefs and practices vanish. A Prophet of God is indeed a trumpet, through whom the voice of God is heard, and the sounding of the trumpet is a symbol for the wide publication and establishment of the teachings brought by him. Thus, the verse means that when the teachings of the Holy Prophet are widely published and accepted in the world and when Islam flourishes and triumphs, then the kingdom of God will be visibly established on the earth and on that day will idols be broken to pieces.

A Divine Prophet is indeed a trumpet through whom the Voice of God is heard, and the sounding of it is a symbol for the wide dissemination of his teachings and the great revolution to be brought about by him in the lives of his people. The verse means that when the teachings of the Holy Prophet are widely published and accepted in the world and when Islam triumphs and predominates, then the Kingdom of God will become demonstrably established in the earth and on that day will idols be broken to pieces.

اور وہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا۔ اور جس دن وہ کہتا ہے ”ہوجا“ تو وہ ہونے لگتا ہے اور ہو کر رہتا ہے۔ اس کا قول سچا ہے اور اسی کی بادشاہی ہوگی جس دن صُورمیں پھونکا جائے گا۔ غیب کا اور حاضر کا جاننے والا ہے اور وہ صاحبِ حکمت (اور) ہمیشہ باخبر رہنے والاہے۔

Et c’est Lui Qui a créé les cieux et la terre de façon correcte ; et le jour où Il dira : « Sois, » et la chose commence à être. Sa parole est la vérité, et c’est à Lui le royaume le jour où l’on sonnera de la trompe. Il est le Connaisseur de l’invisible et du visible. Et Il est le Sage, le Très-Conscient.

Er ist es, Der die Himmel und die Erde erschuf in Weisheit; und dem Tage, da Er spricht "Es werde!" und es wird sein. Sein Wort ist die Wahrheit, und Sein ist das Reich an dem Tage, da in die Posaune geblasen wird. Kenner des Verborgenen und des Offenbaren – Er ist der Allweise, der Allwissende.

Ed è Lui che ha creato i cieli e la terra, nel modo giusto, e il giorno in cui Egli dice: «Sii», ed essa è*. La Sua parola è la verità, e sarà Suo il regno, il giorno in cui suonerà la tromba. Egli conosce l'invisibile e il visibile. Ed Egli è il Saggio, l'Onnisciente.

Spanish

Pues Él es quien creó los cielos y la tierra de la manera correcta; y el día que Él diga “¡Sea!”, será. Su Palabra es la verdad, y Suyo será el Reino el día en que sea tocada la trompeta. Él es quien conoce lo invisible y lo visible. Pues Él es el Sabio, el Omnisapiente.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور وہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو حق (وحکمت) کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے اور جس دن وہ کہے گا کہ (میرے منشا کے مطابق یوں) ہو جائے (اسی طرح) ہو جائے گا۔ اس کی بات ہو کر رہنے والی ہے اور جس دن صور پھونکا جائے گا حکومت (صرف) اسی کو (حاصل) ہوگی (وہ) پوشیدہ اور ظاہر (باتوں) کا جاننے والا ہے اور وہ حکمت والا (اور) خبردار ہے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

وہی ہے جس نے آسمان و زمین کو بر حق پیدا کیا ہے اور جس د ن وہ کہے گا کہ حشر ہو جائے اسی دن وہ ہو جائے گا اس کا ارشاد عین حق ہے اور جس روز صور پھونکا جائیگا اس روز پادشاہی اُسی کی ہوگی، وہ غیب اور شہادت ہر چیز کا عالم ہے اور دانا اور باخبر ہے

English - Sahih

And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.

اور وہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اورزمین کو ٹھیک طور پر بنایا ہے اور جس دن کہے گا کہ ہو جا تو وہ ہو جائے گا اس کی بات سچی ہے جس دن صورمیں پھونکا جائے گاتو اسی کی بادشاہی ہو گی چھپی اور ظاہر باتوں کا جاننے والا ہے اور وہی حکمت والا خبردار ہے

It is He who created the heavens and the earth in truth; and the day He says 'Be', and it is; His saying is true, and His is the Kingdom the day the Trumpet is blown; He is Knower of the Unseen and the visible; He is the All-wise, the All-aware.

English - Maududi

And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in truth; and the very day He will say: "Be!" (resurrection) there will be. His word is the Truth and His will be the dominion on the day when the-Trumpet is blown. He knows all that lies beyond the reach of human perception as well as all that is visible to man; He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.'

It is He who created the heavens and the earth with a definite purpose. The day He will say "Be, " it will be. His word is the truth, His alone the power on the Day when the blast of the trumpet will be sounded. He knows the hidden and the visible. He is all-prudent and all-knowing.
