وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّى بَعْضَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَعْضًۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ

And in like manner do We set some of the wrongdoers over the others because of what they earned.

And in like manner do We set some of the wrongdoers over the others because of what they earned.[870]

Commentary:

The verse signifies that actually both the poor and the great are wrongdoers and it is on account of their sins that the poor become tools in the hands of the great.

This verse provides another proof of the fact that by the word جن (jinn) is here meant only a class of human beings, viz. the great and the powerful, for it is only one class of men that is set over the other. jinn as beings different from men have never been set over men, nor men over jinn.

English - Short Commentary Translation

And thus do We make some of the wrongdoers friends[910A] of each other because of what they earn.

The words may also mean, 'And thus do We set some of the evil doers over others.'

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اسی طرح ہم بعض ظالموں کو بعض پر مسلّط کر دیتے ہیں بسبب اس کَسَب کے جو وہ کرتے ہیں۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اس طرح ہم بعض ظالموں کو بعض کا اس کام کی وجہ سے جو وہ کرتے ہیں‘ دوست[2] بنا دیتے ہیں۔

یعنی جیسا کہ اوپر کی آیت میں گزرا ہے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

دیکھو، اس طرح ہم (آخر ت میں) ظالموں کو ایک دوسرے کا ساتھی بنائیں گے اُس کمائی کی وجہ سے جو وہ (دنیا میں ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ مل کر) کرتے تھے

And thus will We make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn.

اور اسی طرح ہم گنہگاروں کو ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ ان کے اعمال کے سبب سے ملا دیں گے

یعنی جیسا کہ اوپر کی آیت میں گزرا ہے۔
