اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اگر وہ تم سے وہ (اموال) مانگے اور تمہارے پیچھے پڑ جائے تو تم بخل سے کام لو گے اور وہ تمہارے بغض باہر نکال دے گا۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اگر وہ تمہارے مال تم سے مانگے اور (اس پر) تم سے اصرار کرے‘ تو تم بخل سے کام لے سکتے ہو‘ اور وہ ضرور تمہارے کینے تمہارے دلوں سے نکال دے گا۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اگر کہیں وہ تمہارے مال تم سے مانگ لے اور سب کے سب تم سے طلب کر لے تو تم بخل کرو گے اور وہ تمہارے کھوٹ ابھار لائے گا

If He asks you for them, and presses you, you are niggardly, and He brings to light your rancour.

If He were to ask you for your possessions and press you (in that regard), you would have grown niggardly, and Allah would have brought your failings to light.

Commentary:

The verse applies to hypocrites. Though professing to be Muslims, they will not spend their money in the cause of Islam, however pressing its need might be, because their hearts are full of rancour, malice and spite against it. But whatever they may or may not do, Islam will be victorious and their rancour and malevolence would be exposed.
