وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصْلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيرًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And as to him who opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him, and follows a way other than that of the believers, We shall let him pursue the way he is pursuing and shall cast him into Hell; and an evil destination it is.

And as to him who opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him, and [a]follows a way other than that of the believers, We shall let him pursue the way he is pursuing and shall cast him into Hell; and an evil destination it is.[582]

7:4.

Commentary:

The verse means that people who oppose the Prophet openly or secretly and seek for themselves a way other than that of believers, in spite of the fact that the divine guidance has become clear to them, will be deprived of the means of guidance, and God will let them follow the wrong course they are pursuing, i.e. they will increase in their hypocrisy and disbelief.

And whoso opposes the Messenger after guidance has become manifest to him, and [a]follows a way other than that of the believers, We shall let him pursue the way he is pursuing and shall cast him into Hell, and an evil destination it is.

7:4.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور جو رسول کی مخالفت کرے بعد اس کے کہ ہدایت اس پر روشن ہو چکی ہو اور مومنوں کے طریق کے سوا کوئی اور طریق اختیار کرے تو ہم اسے اُسی جانب پھیر دیں گے جس جانب وہ مُڑ گیا ہے اور ہم اسے جہنّم میں داخل کریں گے۔ اور وہ بہت بُرا ٹھکانا ہے۔

French

Et quant à celui qui s’opposera au Messager après que la bonne direction lui est devenue claire, et qui suivra une voie autre que celle des croyants, Nous le laisserons poursuivre la voie qu’il poursuit et Nous le jetterons dans l’Enfer – et quelle mauvaise destination !

German

Jener aber, der sich dem Gesandten widersetzt, nachdem ihm der rechte Weg klar geworden, und einen anderen Weg befolgt als den der Gläubigen, den werden Wir verfolgen lassen, was er verfolgt, und werden ihn in die Hölle stürzen; und schlimm ist die Bestimmung.

凡在明白正道之后而仍反对 (这位) 使者, 并[d]遵从不信者的道路的, 我将让他追寻他一向所追寻的东西, 我将把他放在火狱之中。那是多么坏的归宿啊！

Italian

E chi si oppone al messaggero, dopo che gli è stata manifestata la retta via, e prende una via diversa da quella dei credenti, Noi gli lasceremo seguire la via per cui s'è messo e lo cacceremo all'Inferno, che è davvero una pessima destinazione.

Spanish

En cuanto a quien se opone al Mensajero después de que se le ha mostrado claramente la guía y sigue un camino distinto al de los creyentes, lo dejaremos continuar por el camino que ha elegido y lo arrojaremos al Infierno; ¡qué pésimo destino!

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور جو شخص (بھی) ہدایت کے پوری طرح کھل جانے کے بعد (اس) رسول سے اختلاف ہی کرتا چلا جائے گا اور مومنوں کے طریق کے سوا (کسی اور طریق) پر چلے گا ہم اسے اسی چیز کے پیچھے لگا دیں گے جس کے پیچھے[3] وہ پڑا ہوا ہے اور اسے جہنم میں ڈالیں گے اور وہ بہت برا ٹھکانا ہے۔

یعنی وہ رسولؐ اور اس کے صحابہؓ کو تباہ کرنا چاہتا ہے۔ ہم وہی تباہی اس کی قسمت میں لکھ دیں گے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

مگر جو شخص رسول کی مخالفت پر کمر بستہ ہو اور اہل ایمان کی روش کے سوا کسی اور روش پر چلے، درآں حالیکہ اس پر راہ راست واضح ہو چکی ہو، تو اُس کو ہم اُسی طرف چلائیں گے جدھر وہ خود پھر گیا اور اسے جہنم میں جھونکیں گے جو بد ترین جائے قرار ہے

English - Sahih

And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور جو کوئی رسول کی مخالفت کرے بعد اس کے کہ اس پر سیدھی راہ کھل چکی ہو اور سب مسلمانوں کے راستہ کے خلاف چلے تو ہم اسے اسی طرف چلائیں گے جدھر وہ خود پھر گیا ہے اور اسے دوزح میں ڈال دینگے اور وہ بہت برا ٹھکانا ہے

And whoever opposes the Messenger from after what (has) become clear to him (of) the guidance, and he follows other than (the) way (of) the believers, We will turn him (to) what he (has) turned and We will burn him (in) Hell and evil it is (as) a destination.

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

یعنی وہ رسولؐ اور اس کے صحابہؓ کو تباہ کرنا چاہتا ہے۔ ہم وہی تباہی اس کی قسمت میں لکھ دیں گے۔

But whoso makes a breach with the Messenger after the guidance has become clear to him and follows a way other than the believers', him We shall turn over to what he has turned to and We shall roast him in Gehenna - an evil homecoming!

As for him who sets himself against the Messenger and follows a path other than that of the believers even after true guidance had become clear to him, We will let him go to the way he has turned to, and We will cast him into Hell - an evil destination.

And he who opposes the Prophet even after the way has become clear to him, and follows a path other than the way of believers, We shall lead him to what he has chosen for himself, and shall take him to Hell: How evil a journey's end.

And whoso opposeth the messenger after the guidance (of Allah) hath been manifested unto him, and followeth other than the believer's way, We appoint for him that unto which he himself hath turned, and expose him unto hell - a hapless journey's end!
