وَلْيَخْشَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا۟ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَٰفًا خَافُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلْيَقُولُوا۟ قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And let those fear God who, if they should leave behind them their own weak offspring, would be anxious for them. Let them, therefore, fear Allah and let them say the right word.

And let those fear God who, if they should leave behind them their own weak offspring, would be anxious for them. Let them, therefore, fear Allah and let them say the right word.[492]

Commentary:

The verse contains a strong and highly forceful appeal in favour of orphans. Those to whom the guardianship of orphans is entrusted are told to imagine just how they would feel if they knew that they were to die leaving behind little children and no one to take care of them. The implication is that they should treat their wards as kindly as they would like their own little children to be treated in case of their own death.

And let those fear Allah who, if they should leave behind them weak offspring, would be afraid on their account. Let them, therefore, fear Allah and let them say the right word.[572]

The verse contains a strong and highly forceful appeal in favour of the orphans.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ لوگ اس بات سے ڈریں کہ اگر وہ اپنے پیچھے کمزور اولاد چھوڑ جاتے تو اُن کے بارہ میں خوف کھاتے۔ پس چاہئے کہ وہ اللہ سے ڈریں اور صاف سیدھی بات کہیں۔

Et qu’ils craignent Allāh, ceux qui, s’ils devaient laisser derrière eux leurs propres enfants faibles, craindraient pour eux. Qu’ils craignent donc Allāh et qu’ils parlent avec droiture.

German

Und jene mögen (Gott) fürchten, die, sollten sie selbst schwache Nachkommen hinterlassen, um sie besorgt wären. Mögen sie daher Allah fürchten und das rechte* Wort sprechen.

凡惧怕如果他们身后遗下了幼弱的子女, 怎样处理这善后问题的, 他们 (在处理别人的孤儿的事务中) 也当畏惧安拉, 说正直的言语。

Y teman a Dios quienes, si dejaran tras ellos una descendencia débil, se sentirían angustiados por ella. Que teman a Al-lah y digan la palabra justa.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور جو لوگ ڈرتے ہوں کہ اگر وہ اپنے بعد کمزور اولاد چھوڑ گئے تو اس کا کیا بنے گا ان کو (دوسرے یتیموں کے متعلق بھی) اللہ کے ڈر سے کام لینا چاہیئے اور چاہیئے کہ وہ صاف اور سیدھی[1] بات کہیں۔

سَدِیْد کے معنے صرف سچ کے نہیں ہوتے بلکہ یہ معنے بھی اس میں شامل ہیں کہ کوئی فریب یا اِخفا اس میں نہ ہو۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

لوگوں کو اس بات کا خیال کر کے ڈرنا چاہیے کہ اگر وہ خود اپنے پیچھے بے بس اولاد چھوڑتے تو مرتے وقت انہیں اپنے بچوں کے حق میں کیسے کچھ اندیشے لاحق ہوتے پس چاہیے کہ وہ خدا کا خوف کریں اور راستی کی بات کریں

English - Sahih

And let those [executors and guardians] fear [injustice] as if they [themselves] had left weak offspring behind and feared for them. So let them fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور ایسے لوگو ں کو ڈرنا چاہيے اگر اپنے بعد چھوٹے چھوٹے بچے چھوڑ جائیں جن کی انہیں فکر ہو ان لوگو ں کو چاہیئے کہ خدا سے ڈریں اور سیدھی بات کہیں

English - Talal Itani

And let fear - those who, if they left from behind offspring weak (and) they would have feared about them. So let them fear Allah and let them speak words appropriate.

Chinese Commentary ^*

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

سَدِیْد کے معنے صرف سچ کے نہیں ہوتے بلکہ یہ معنے بھی اس میں شامل ہیں کہ کوئی فریب یا اِخفا اس میں نہ ہو۔

English - Arberry

And let those fear who, if they left behind them weak seed, would be afraid on their account, and let them fear God, and speak words hitting the mark.

English - Maududi

And let them fear, those who, if they would themselves leave behind helpless offspring, they would surely have been fearful on their account. Let them, then, fear Allah and make the right statement.

Let people fear the day when they leave small children behind them unprovided, and how concerned they would be for them. So fear God and say the right things to them.

Let those (disposing of an estate) have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own if they had left a helpless family behind: Let them fear Allah, and speak words of appropriate (comfort).
