وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ ۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And if they reject thee, verily, God’s Messengers have been rejected before thee; and unto Allah all things are brought back for decision.

[a]And if they reject thee, verily, God’s Messengers have been rejected before thee; and unto Allah all matters are brought back for decision.[3179]

Commentary:

After it has been mentioned in the preceding verses that a great Divine gift is about to be bestowed on mankind in the form of the Quran and after the would-be rejecters have been warned not to hasten to reject it, the Holy Prophet is told in the present verse that he will be rejected, opposed and persecuted but this should not discourage or dismay him because his opposition and persecution would be no new thing as all the Divine Messengers and Prophets before him were also rejected, opposed and persecuted, but the enemies of truth could never frustrate God’s plan but themselves always came to grief.

[b]And if they reject thee, verily, God’s Messengers have been rejected before thee; and unto Allah all matters are brought back for decision.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر وہ تجھے جھٹلا دیں تو تجھ سے پہلے بھی کئی رسول جھٹلائے گئے۔ اور اللہ ہی کی طرف سب معاملات لوٹائے جائیں گے۔

French

Et s’ils te rejettent, en vérité, des Messagers ont été rejetés avant toi ; et c’est à Allāh que seront ramenées toutes les affaires pour Sa décision.

German

Und wenn sie dich der Lüge zeihen: schon die Gesandten (Gottes) vor dir sind der Lüge geziehen worden; und zu Allah werden (alle) Dinge zurückgebracht.

Chinese

[e]如果他们诬蔑你说谎, (那没有什么要紧,) 在你之前, 好多使者都曾被诬蔑说谎。一切事情都将被送回安拉那里 (去做最后决定)。

Italian

E se quelli ti respingono, in verità, i messaggeri di Dio sono stati respinti prima di te. Ma tutte le cose saranno ricondotte davanti ad Allah, per la decisione finale.

Spanish

Mas si te rechazan, sabe que en verdad los Mensajeros de Dios han sido rechazados antes de ti; mas a Al‑lah serán devueltas todas las cosas para la decisión.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اگر یہ لوگ تجھے جھٹلاتے ہیں تو (کیا حرج ہے) تجھ سے پہلے جتنے رسول گذرے ہیں ان کو بھی جھٹلایا گیا تھا اور تمام معاملات (فیصلہ کے لئے) اللہ کے حضور ہی پیش کیے جائیں گے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اب اگر (اے نبیؐ) یہ لوگ تمہیں جھٹلاتے ہیں (تو یہ کوئی نئی بات نہیں)، تم سے پہلے بھی بہت سے رسول جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں، اور سارے معاملات آخرکار اللہ ہی کی طرف رجوع ہونے والے ہیں

English - Sahih

And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور اگر وہ آپ کو جھٹلائیں تو آپ سے پہلے بھی کئی رسول جھٹلائے گئے اور الله ہی کی طرف سب کام لوٹائے جاتے ہیں

If they cry lies to thee, Messengers before thee were cried lies to; and unto God all matters are returned.

English - Maududi

(O Prophet), (there is nothing novel in it) if they cry lies to you; Messengers before you were also cried lies to. To Allah shall all matters be sent back.

If they call you a liar, so have other messengers been denied before you. But all things will be brought back to God.

And if they reject thee, so were messengers rejected before thee: to Allah back for decision all affairs.
