قُلِ ٱدْعُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِيهِمَا مِن شِرْكٍ وَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْهُم مِّن ظَهِيرٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Say, ‘Call upon those whom you assert to be gods beside Allah. They control not even the weight of an atom in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor has He any helper among them.’

English - Five Volume Translation

Say, [a]‘Call upon those whom you assert to be gods beside Allah. They control not even the weight of an atom in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor has He any helper among them.’[3149]

17:57; 25:4.

Commentary:

As stated above, the principal theme of this Surah is the triumph of Islam. Instances of David and Solomon on the one hand and of the Sabaeans on the other given in the preceding few verses embodied a prophecy that Muslims would also be blessed with power and wealth like the Israelites in the reigns of David and Solomon and the Sabaeans but if they did not behave and were ungrateful to God, they would be punished like them. In the present verse, however, disbelievers are challenged to call upon all their false gods to arrest or retard the progress and advance of Islam and are told that they cannot do so; in fact, no power on earth can stop the new Faith from spreading.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

تُو کہہ دے کہ انہیں پکارو جنہیں تم نے اللہ کے سوا (کچھ) گمان کر رکھا ہے۔ وہ تو آسمانوں اور زمین میں ایک ذرہ برابر بھی کسی چیز کے مالک نہیں اور نہ ہی اُن دونوں میں اُن کا کوئی حصہ ہے اور ان میں سے کوئی بھی اُس (یعنی اللہ ) کا مددگار نہیں۔

French

Dis : « Invoquez ceux que vous prétendez sont dieux en dehors d’Allāh. Ils ne contrôlent même pas le poids d’un atome dans les cieux ou sur la terre, et ils n’y ont aucune part non plus, ni n’a-t-Il d’auxiliaire parmi eux.

German

Sprich: "Rufet doch jene an, die ihr neben Allah wähnt! Sie haben nicht einmal über das Gewicht eines Stäubchens Macht in den Himmeln oder auf Erden, noch haben sie einen Anteil an beiden, noch hat Er einen Helfer unter ihnen."

Chinese

你 (对他们) 说: “除开安拉之外, 你们呼求自己所设想的 (崇拜对象), 他们 (甚至) 不 (能) 管理天地间微粒之重的东西, 他们也不具有天地之间的部分主权, 安拉也不把他们当做自己的帮助者。”[1047]

不信的人受到挑战, 要他们呼求他们所有虚假的神灵来阻止或推迟伊斯兰教的进展; 并对他们说他们不能做到这一点: 实际上, 地球上没有任何力量能够阻止真理的传播。

Di': «Invocate quelli che voi affermate essere degli dei oltre ad Allah. Essi non controllano neanche il peso di un atomo nei cieli o sulla terra, né hanno in essi alcuna parte, né Egli ha tra loro qualche aiutante.»

Spanish

Diles: “Invocad a aquellos que afirmáis que son dioses fuera de Al‑lah. Ellos no controlan ni siquiera el peso de un átomo en los cielos ni en la tierra, ni tienen parte alguna en ambos, ni tiene Él nadie que le ayude de entre ellos”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

تو کہہ دے کہ جن لوگوں کو تم اپنے خیال کے مطابق اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہو ان کو (اپنی مدد کے لئے) بلا لو وہ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ایک چیونٹی کے برابر بھی کسی چیز کے ہرگز مالک نہیں اور ان دونوں (کی ملکیت) میں ان کو (کوئی) شراکت حاصل نہیں اور نہ اس کا ان میں سے کوئی مددگار ہے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

(اے نبیؐ، اِن مشرکین سے) کہو کہ پکار دیکھو اپنے اُن معبودوں کو جنہیں تم اللہ کے سوا اپنا معبود سمجھے بیٹھے ہو وہ نہ آسمانوں میں کسی ذرہ برابر چیز کے مالک ہیں نہ زمین میں وہ آسمان و زمین کی ملکیت میں شریک بھی نہیں ہیں ان میں سے کوئی اللہ کا مدد گار بھی نہیں ہے

English - Sahih

Say, [O Muhammad], "Invoke those you claim [as deities] besides Allah." They do not possess an atom's weight [of ability] in the heavens or on the earth, and they do not have therein any partnership [with Him], nor is there for Him from among them any assistant.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

کہہ دوالله کے سوا جن کا تمہیں گھمنڈ ہے انہیں پکارو وہ نہ تو آسمان ہی میں ذرّہ بھر اختیار رکھتے ہیں اور نہ زمین میں اور نہ ان کا ان میں کچھ حصہ ہے اور نہ ان میں سے الله کا کوئی مددکار ہے

Say, "Call upon those whom you claim besides Allah." Not they possess (the) weight (of) an atom in the heavens and not in the earth and not for them in both of them any partnership, and not for Him from them any supporter.

Say: 'Call on those you have asserted apart from God; they possess not so much as the weight of an ant in the heavens nor in the earth; they have no partnership in either of them, nor has He in them any supporter.'

(O Prophet), say to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity: “Call upon those whom you fancied to be deities beside Allah. They own not even the smallest particle, neither in the heavens nor on the earth; nor do they have any share in the ownership of either of them. Nor is any of them even a helper of Allah.

Say: "Call on those you imagine are gods apart from God. They are not masters even of an atom's weight in the heavens and the earth, nor do they have a share in them, nor is any one of them a helper (of God).
