ذُرِّيَّةًۢ بَعْضُهَا مِنۢ بَعْضٍ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

A race, co-related with one another. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

A [a]race, co-related with one another. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.[325]

6:88; 19:59.

Commentary:

The word ذریة (a race) has been put in the verse not as مبتدا but as حال. The verse must, therefore, be considered a part of the preceding one and would literally mean, "while these were or are a race correlated with one another", the inference being that the individuals and families mentioned in the preceding verse were chosen by God because they all belonged to the same stock, the stock of good and righteous people.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

ان میں سے بعض بعض کی ذُرّیت میں سے ہیں اور اللہ بہت سننے والا (اور) دائمی علم رکھنے والا ہے۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(اس نے) ایک ایسی نسل کو (فضیلت دی) جو ایک دوسرے سے پوری مطابقت رکھنے[1] والی تھی اور اللہ بہت سننے والا (اور) بہت جاننے والا ہے۔

اس جگہ ’’ذُرِّیَّۃٌ‘‘ سے یہ مرادنہیں کہ وہ جسمانی لحاظ سے ان کی نسل میں سے تھی بلکہ مراد یہ ہے کہ روحانی طور پر وہ ایک دوسرے سے مطابقت رکھتی تھی۔

یہ ایک سلسلے کے لوگ تھے، جو ایک دوسرے کی نسل سے پیدا ہوئے تھے اللہ سب کچھ سنتا اور جانتا ہے
