28:82

فَخَسَفْنَا بِهِۦ وَبِدَارِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَهُۥ مِن فِئَةٍ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنتَصِرِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Then We caused the earth to swallow him up and his dwelling; and he had no party to help him against Allah, nor was he of those who can defend themselves.

[b]Then We caused the earth to swallow him up and his dwelling; and he had no party to help him against Allah, nor was he of those who can defend themselves.[2933]

29:41.

Important Words:

خسفنا (We caused him to be swallowed up) is formed from خسف. They say خسف المکان i.e. the house fell down or sank into the earth. خسف القمر means, the moon suffered an eclipse. خسف الرجل means, the man became emaciated. خسف فلاناً means, he humbled him and made him to bear a thing which he did not like. خسف اللّٰه الارض بفلان means, God made the earth to sink with such a one and to swallow him up (Lane & Aqrab).

[b]Then We caused the earth to swallow him up and his dwelling; and he had no party to help him against Allah, nor was he of those who can defend themselves.

29:41.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پس ہم نے اُسے اور اُس کے گھر کو زمین میں دھنسا دیا۔ پس اُس کا کوئی گروہ نہ تھا جو اللہ کے مقابل پر اس کی مدد کرتے اور وہ انتقام لینے والوں میں سے نہ ہو سکا۔

French

Puis Nous avons fait que la terre l’engloutît, lui et sa maison ; et il n’avait aucune troupe pour lui venir en aide contre Allāh, et il n’était pas non plus de ceux qui peuvent triompher du décret d’Allāh.

German

Dann ließen Wir die Erde ihn und sein Haus verschlingen; und er hatte keine Schar, ihm zu helfen gegen Allah, noch konnte er sich retten.

Chinese

[b]我使他和他的住宅陷于地下, 没有任何团体能帮助他抵抗安拉, 他也不能防备他自己。

29:41.

Italian

Quindi lo facemmo inghiottire dalla terra, lui e la sua abitazione, e non ebbe nessuno in grado di aiutarlo contro Allah, né era di quelli in grado di avere il sopravvento sul decreto di Allah.

Spanish

Entonces hicimos que la tierra se lo tragara, a él y a su morada; y no obtuvo grupo alguno que lo ayudara contra Al‑lah, ni era de los que pudiera dominar al decreto de Al-lah.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

پھر ہم نے اس کو اور اس کے قبیلہ کو مکروہات میں مبتلا کر دیا اور کوئی جماعت ایسی نہ نکلی جو اللہ کے سوا اس کی مدد کرتی۔ اور کسی تدبیر سے بھی وہ (اپنے دشمن سے) بچ [2]نہ سکا۔

اِنْـتَصَرَ کے معنے ہیں اِمْتَنَعَ مِنْ ظَالِمِہٖ اپنے دشمن سے بچ گیا (اقرب) اور یہی معنے ہم نے اختیار کیے ہیں۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

آخر کار ہم نے اسے اور اس کے گھر کو زمین میں دَھنسا دیا پھر کوئی اس کے حامیوں کا گروہ نہ تھا جو اللہ کے مقابلہ میں اس کی مدد کو آتا اور نہ وہ خود اپنی مدد آپ کر سکا

English - Sahih

And We caused the earth to swallow him and his home. And there was for him no company to aid him other than Allah, nor was he of those who [could] defend themselves.

پھر ہم نے اسے اور اس کے گھر کو زمین میں دھنسا دیا پھر اس کی ایسی کوئی جماعت نہ تھی جو اسے الله سے بچا لیتی اور نہ وہ خود بچ سکا

Then We caused to swallow up, him and his home, the earth. Then not was for him any group (to) help him besides Allah, and not was (he) of those who (could) defend themselves.

So We made the earth to swallow him and his dwelling and there was no host to help him, apart from God, and he was helpless;

At last We caused the earth to swallow him and his house. Thereafter there was no group of people that could come to his aid against Allah; nor was he able to come to his own aid.

So We opened up the earth and sunk him and his mansion. There was not a body that could help him against (the will) of God, nor was he able to save himself.
