قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Pharaoh said, ‘You have believed in him before I gave you leave? He is surely your chief who has taught you magic. But you shall know the consequences thereof. I will most surely cut off your hands and your feet on alternate sides, and I will most surely crucify you all.’

[a]Pharaoh said, ‘You have believed in him before I gave you leave? He is surely your chief who has taught you magic. But you shall know the consequences thereof I will most surely cut off your hands and your feet on alternate sides, and I will most surely crucify you all.’[2738]

Commentary:

Death by crucifixion by itself is a very painful death, but the punishment of the cutting of hands and feet has been added to make it more painful.

English - Short Commentary Translation

[c]Pharaoh said, ‘You have believed in him before I gave you leave? He is surely your chief who has taught you sorcery. But you shall know the consequences thereof I will most surely cut off your hands and your feet on account[2113A] of your disobedience and I will most surely crucify you all.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اُس (یعنی فرعون) نے کہا کیا تم اس پر ایمان لے آئے ہو پیشتر اس کے کہ میں تمہیں اجازت دیتا؟ یقیناً یہ تمہارا بڑا ہے جس نے تمہیں جادو سکھایا تھا۔ پس تم عنقریب (اس کا نتیجہ) جان لو گے۔ میں ضرور تمہارے ہاتھ اور تمہارے پاؤں مخالف سمتوں سے کاٹ ڈالوں گا اور یقیناً میں تم سب کو صلیب پر لٹکادوں گا۔

French

Pharaon dit : « Vous avez cru en lui avant que je ne vousen donne l’autorisation ? C’est sûrement votre chef,et c’est lui qui vous a enseigné la magie. Mais vous allez en connaître les conséquences. Très certainement, je vous couperai mains et jambes opposées, et très certainement, je vous crucifierai tous. »

German

(Pharao) sprach: "Glaubt ihr an ihn, bevor ich es euch erlaube? Er ist sicher euer Meister, der euch die Zauberei gelehrt hat. Aber bald sollt ihr es erfahren. Wahrhaftig, für den Ungehorsam will ich euch Hände und Füße abhauen, und wahrhaftig, ich will euch alle ans Kreuz schlagen."

[d]他 (法老:)说: “我尚未赐予你们许可, 你们就 (擅自) 信仰了他? 这个人一定是教你们魔术的领袖。你们很快就会知道 (自己的结局)。我因你们的违命, 将割断你们的手脚, 把你们都钉在十字架上。”

Faraone disse: «Avete creduto in lui prima ancora che vi dessi il mio permesso? È certamente lui il vostro capo, che vi ha insegnato la magia. Ma vi accorgerete delle conseguenze di questo. Io vi farò certamente tagliare le mani e i piedi, sui lati opposti, e vi farò di sicuro crocifiggere tutti.»

Spanish

El Faraón dijo: “¿Habéis creído en él antes de que os diera permiso? Sin duda que él es vuestro jefe y os ha enseñado la magia. Pero sabréis sus consecuencias. En verdad os cortaré las manos y los pies de lados opuestos, y ciertamente os crucificaré a todos”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اس پر فرعون (جھنجھلا کر) بولا کہ کیا میرے حکم دینے سے پہلے تم ایمان لے آئے ہو؟ یہ (شخص) یقیناً تمہارا کوئی سردار ہے جس نے تمہیں جادو سکھایا ہے پس عنقریب تم (اپنا انجام) معلوم کر لو گے میں تمہارے ہاتھوں اور پیروں کو (اپنی) خلاف ورزی کی وجہ سے کاٹ دوں گا اور تم سب کو صلیب پر لٹکا دوں گا۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

فرعون نے کہا "تم موسیٰؑ کی بات مان گئے قبل اس کے کہ میں تمہیں اجازت دیتا! ضرور یہ تمہارا بڑا ہے جس نے تمہیں جادو سکھایا ہے اچھا، ابھی تمہیں معلوم ہوا جاتا ہے، میں تمہارے ہاتھ پاؤں مخالف سمتوں میں کٹواؤں گا اور تم سب کو سولی چڑھا دوں گا"

English - Sahih

[Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

کہا کیا تم میری اجازت سے پہلے ہی ایمان لے آئے بے شک وہ تمہارا استاد ہے جس نے تمہیں جادو سکھایا ہے سو تمہیں ابھی معلوم ہو جائے گا البتہ میں تمہارا ایک طرف کا ہاتھ اور دوسری طرف کا پاؤں کاٹ دوں گا اور تم سب کو سولی پر چڑھا دوں گا

He said, "You believed in him before [that] I gave permission to you. Indeed, he (is) surely your chief who has taught you the magic, so surely soon you will know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet of opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."

Pharaoh said: "You accepted the word of Moses even before I granted you the leave to do so. Surely he is your chief who has taught you magic. Soon shall you come to know. I shall cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides and shall crucify all of you."
