ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ نَزَّلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَفِى شِقَاقٍۭ بَعِيدٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

That is because Allah has sent down the Book with the truth; and surely, they who disagree concerning the Book are gone far in enmity.

That is because [a]Allah has sent down the Book with the truth; and surely, they who disagree concerning the Book are gone far in enmity.[183]

17:106.

Commentary:

The estrangement of the disbelievers from the truth and their long association with falsehood have made them callous and incapable of knowing and accepting the Quranic revelation. Just as a sick person sometimes loses his faculty of taste and consequently declines to partake of delicious things, similarly these people, owing to their lack of contact with truth for a long time, have become inclined to reject the word of God. They prefer small worldly gains to the great spiritual and material advantages that would certainly have accrued to them, if they had accepted the truth. The words فی شقاق بعید i.e. "gone far in enmity" signify that there has come to exist a wide gulf between these people on the one hand and the truth on the other.

English - Short Commentary Translation

That is because [e]Allah has sent down the Book with the truth; and surely, they who disagree concerning the Book are gone far in enmity.

17:106.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یہ اس لئے ہوگا کہ اللہ نے کتاب کو حق کے ساتھ اتارا ہے۔ اور یقیناً وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کتاب کے بارے میں اختلاف کیا ہے وہ بہت دُور کی مخالفت میں (مبتلا) ہیں۔

French

C’est parce qu’Allāh a fait descendre le Livre avec la vérité, et assurément, ceux qui ne sont pas d’accord au sujet du Livre se sont empêtrés dans une hostilité extrême.

German

Dies, weil Allah das Buch mit der Wahrheit niedergesandt hat; und gewiss, die uneins sind über das Buch, sind weit gegangen in Feindschaft.

Chinese

这 (惩罚) 是因为[a]安拉降赐了包容真理的这部经典; 争论这部经典的人确 (陷) 於极端的敌对中。

17:106.

Italian

Questo perché Allah ha rivelato il libro con la verità; e certamente coloro che discordano sul libro sono andati molto lontani sulla via dell'inimicizia.

Spanish

Eso es porque Al-lah ha hecho descender el Libro con la verdad; y ciertamente, quienes se muestran en desacuerdo respecto al Libro han ido demasiado lejos en su enemistad.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

یہ (عذاب) اس سبب سے ہوگا کہ اللہ نے اس کتاب کو (مشتمل) برحق اتارا ہے اور جن لوگوں نے اس کتاب کے بارہ میں اختلاف کیا ہے وہ یقیناً پرلے درجہ کی عداوت میں (مبتلا[4]) ہیں۔

عربی عبارت کے مفہوم میں ’’مبتلا‘‘ شامل ہے لیکن آدابِ قرآنی کی وجہ سے ’’مبتلا‘‘ کو خطوط میں لکھا گیا ہے ورنہ فِیْ کے معنے عربی میں ’’مبتلا‘‘ اور پڑا ہوا ہونے کے بھی ہوتے ہیں۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

یہ سب کچھ اس وجہ سے ہوا کہ اللہ نے تو ٹھیک ٹھیک حق کے مطابق کتاب نازل کی تھی مگر جن لوگوں نے کتاب میں اختلاف نکالے وہ اپنے جھگڑوں میں حق سے بہت دور نکل گئے

English - Sahih

That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

یہ اس لیے کہ الله نے کتاب سچائی کے ساتھ اتاری اور بے شک جنہوں نے کتاب میں اختلاف کیا البتہ ضد میں بہت دور جا پڑے

English - Talal Itani

That (is) because Allah revealed the Book with [the] Truth. And indeed, those who differed in the Book (are) surely in schism far.

That, because God has sent down the Book with the truth; and those that are at variance regarding the Book are in wide schism.

This was inspite of the fact that Allah had sent down the Book with the Truth but the people who sought differences in the Book swerved far away from the Truth in their disputes.

That is because God has revealed the Book containing the truth; but those who are at variance about it have gone astray in their contrariness.

(Their doom is) because Allah sent down the Book in truth but those who seek causes of dispute in the Book are in a schism Far (from the purpose).
