قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى شَكٍّ مِّن دِينِى فَلَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنْ أَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Say, “O ye men, if you are in doubt as to my religion, then know that I worship not those whom you worship beside Allah, but I worship Allah alone Who causes you to die, and I have been commanded to be of the believers,

English - Five Volume Translation

Say, “O ye men, if you are in doubt as to my religion, [b]then know that I worship not those whom you worship besides Allah, but I worship Allah alone Who causes you to die, and [c]I have been commanded to be of the believers.[1376]

109:3.

Commentary:

The Holy Prophet is here made to say to disbelievers, "You say you have doubts concerning my religion, whereas my acting on this very religion has given me an invincible conviction of faith. I wonder why this religion should give rise to doubts in your minds?"

The expression, causes you to die, has been employed here to hint that the God of Islam was in the end going to punish disbelievers.

Say, ‘O ye men, if you are in doubt concerning my religion, [d]then know that I worship not those whom you worship instead of Allah, but I worship Allah alone Who causes you to die and [e]I have been commanded to be of the believers;

109:3.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

تُو کہہ دے کہ اے لوگو! اگر تم میرے دین کے متعلق کسی شک میں ہو تو میں تو ان کی عبادت نہیں کروں گا جن کی تم اللہ کے سوا عبادت کرتے ہو۔ لیکن میں اُسی اللہ کی عبادت کروں گا جو تمہیں وفات دیتا ہے اور مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں مومنوں میں سے ہوجاؤں۔

French

Dis : « Ô hommes, si vous avez des doutes en ce qui concerne ma religion, alors sachez que je n’adore pas ceux que vous adorez au lieu d’Allāh, mais j’adore Allāh Seul, Qui vous fait mourir, et il m’a été commandé d’être du nombre des croyants » ;

Sprich: «O ihr Menschen, wenn ihr im Zweifel seid über meinen Glauben, dann (wisset), ich verehre nicht die, welche ihr statt Allah verehrt, sondern ich verehre Allah allein, Der euch dahinnehmen wird, und mir ward geboten, dass ich einer der Gläubigen sei,

你说: “人类啊! 假如你们对我的宗教有任何怀疑, [a]那么, (听着): 除了安拉以外我不崇拜你们所崇拜的, 但我只崇拜使你们死亡的安拉, 而且[b]我奉命做一个信仰的人;

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

تو کہہ کہ اے لوگو! اگر تم میرے دین کے متعلق کسی قسم کے شک (وشبہ) میں ہو تو (سن لو کہ) اللہ کے سوا جن (معبودوں) کی تم پرستش کرتے ہو میں ان کی پرستش نہیں کرتا بلکہ میں اللہ کی پرستش کرتا ہوں جو تم کو وفات دے گا۔ اور مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں ایمان لانے والوں میں سے بنوں۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اے نبیؐ! کہہ دو کہ لوگو، اگر تم ابھی تک میرے دین کے متعلق کسی شک میں ہو تو سن لو کہ تم اللہ کے سوا جن کی بندگی کرتے ہو میں ان کی بندگی نہیں کرتا بلکہ صرف اسی خدا کی بندگی کرتا ہوں جس کے قبضے میں تمہاری موت ہے مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں ایمان لانے والوں میں سے ہوں

English - Sahih

Say, [O Muhammad], "O people, if you are in doubt as to my religion - then I do not worship those which you worship besides Allah; but I worship Allah, who causes your death. And I have been commanded to be of the believers

کہہ دو اے لوگو اگر تمہیں میرے دین میں شک ہے تو الله کے سوا جن کی تم عبادت کرتے ہو میں ان کی عبادت نہیں کرتا بلکہ میں الله کی عبادت کرتا ہوں جو تمہیں وفات دیتا ہے اور مجھے حکم ہوا ہے کہ ایمانداروں میں رہوں
